WHY A HEALTH COACH, WHY NOW?


 

BECAUSE I'VE BEEN THERE

I know how frustrated and stuck you feel. I know how much you so badly want to change. And yet can't seem to do it. I know how misleading all of these popular "diets" and "workout programs" are. I know, because this was me.

Six years ago, I was overweight, exhausted, anxious, weak...I was stuck. I was addicted to sugar, constantly bloated, had tons of digestive issues, and my confidence levels were at an all-time low. I craved energy but didn't know how to get it. I was so far removed from the happy go lucky Emily I used to be. I just wanted to feel like myself again!

As I started investing in a healthier lifestyle, I kind of had this “aha” moment that life can actually be FUN and ENJOYABLE if you let it be (crazy, huh?!). As a health coach, my goal is to help you discover your “aha” moment for yourself and take action to make it a reality.

MY UNIQUE APPROACH

My coaching philosophy is simple: if you’re not having fun, it’s time to change it up.

So many of the popular "diets" and "workout programs" out there are based on restrictions – ‘do’s’ and ‘don’ts’, ‘shoulds’ and ‘shouldn’ts’, instant gratification vs. long term gratification, diligent tracking of calories, points, ‘good’ foods, ‘bad’ foods, the list goes on and on...

Raise your hand if you've tried following something similar. I definitely have!! Did I get results? Yes. Did I have fun during the process? No way. Did my results last? No.

In my world, if you feel like you have to choose between your health plan and going out with friends, enjoying time with your family, or succeeding at your job, it’s not going to last. Why? Because at the end of the day, it’s not fun and it’s not sustainable. We are naturally inclined to do things that pleasure us and make us feel good, so if you’re not truly ENJOYING your health journey, you will inevitably fall back into your old patterns and get more of what you don’t want.

As a coach, I want to help you transform your body and actually ENJOY the process so that you can turn these healthy habits into behaviors that (finally) last!
